Good News From Social Minister Risma: Bekasi Rusunawa Will Be Completed In December 2021
JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Tri Rismaharini targets the construction of Rusunawa for people with social welfare problems (PMKS) in Bekasi City to be completed by the end of December 2021.
"Hopefully in December this year it will be possible and it will be occupied soon," said Risma at the Bekasi Attention Creation Center, quoted from Antara, Monday, June 21.
Risma admitted that currently the construction of the Rusunawa is still being accelerated so that it can be completed by the end of this year so that at the beginning of next year or January 2022 it can be occupied.
He said the flats have a capacity of 100 units and are equipped with bedrooms, kitchens and toilets. Later, the rusunawa will be designated as a residence. Risma stated that the residents who live in the flats have been recorded in the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs database.

"While we already have data that they really don't have a house, there are people with carts, and others," he said.
Risma said similar rusunawa developments have also been planned in a number of other areas with the hope of being able to accommodate people with social welfare problems, especially the homeless.
"Later, God willing, next year we will get another four or six units, I forget, but there are indeed in Medan, Makassar, Jakarta, Solo, then I asked for another unit here in Bekasi," he said.
The construction of the Rusunawa which is located in the Pangudi Luhur Rehabilitation Center Complex in Bekasi City has been started in mid-February 2021 by the Ministry of PUPR. The Rusunawa was built five floors on a land area of 3,880 square meters.
