Pornhub Sued For Uploading Child Porn Content

JAKARTA - More than 30 women have sued Pornhub for distributing child pornography content. Adult sites that have violated various articles of the federal sex law in the United States (US).

Citing NBC News, the lawsuit alleges that Pornhub's parent company MindGeek and its constellation of porn brands are criminal companies that buy, launder and upload illegal content through human trafficking as well as sexual assault.

The lawsuit states that MindGeek has also been victims of sexual exploitation, rape, human trafficking, and they were victimized first by their original perpetrator, then repeatedly by the defendants in this case.

Serena Fleites one of the plaintiffs along with more than 30 other women stated that they were victims of unauthorized videos uploaded and distributed by Pornhub. Fleites later testified before the House of Commons Canada about his experience.

"I was one of those people who ended up being homeless, ended up dropping out of school, ended up on drugs, completely separated from my family. I ended up trying to kill myself many times. I ended up in a mental hospital," says Fleites.

Pornhub denied the allegations, calling their actions unreasonable, "Pornhub does not tolerate illegal content and investigates any complaints or allegations made about content on our platform," Pornhub said in a statement.

"The allegation in today's complaint that Pornhub is a criminal company that trafficks women and is run like 'The Sopranos' is utterly preposterous, utterly reckless and absolutely false," he continued.

The company says its website has, "the most comprehensive protection in the history of user-generated platforms, which includes banning uploads from unverified users, expanding our moderation process, and working with dozens of nonprofits around the world."

So far Pornhub has faced bans by Visa and Mastercard by suspending all videos from unverified users on the website last December.
