3.24 Million Jakartans Have Been Vaccinated, In August The Target For Adults Should Be Completed

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the vaccination process was continuing. According to reports received, around 3.24 million residents of the capital have been vaccinated.

"Currently, 3.24 million Jakarta residents have received vaccinations", said Anies, quoted by VOI from his Facebook account, Saturday, June 19.

To speed up the completion, it is targeted that around 100.000 people are vaccinated every day. Thus, the vaccination target in Jakarta can be completed in August 2021.

"God willing, every day more than 100 thousand residents get the vaccine so that by the end of August all adults in DKI will have been vaccinated", said Anies.

Separately, the Head of Disease Prevention and Control, DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office, Dwi Oktaviaprocess said the total number of vaccination targets for DKI Jakarta Province was 8.815.157 people.

"For the vaccination program, the total number of people receiving the first dose is currently 3.239.251 (36.8 percent), with the number being vaccinated with the first dose today as many as 107.600 people. While the total second dose has now reached 1.880.997 people (21.3 percent), with the number of people being vaccinated with the second dose today as many as 5.826 people", he said.

Meanwhile, vaccination for residents aged 18-59 years in the first dose stage has been carried out to 2.644.205 people or 33.5 percent, and the second dose of vaccination covers 1.345.724 people or 17 percent.

While in the elderly group, the first dose of vaccination was administered to 595.046 people or 65.3 percent and the second dose of vaccination covered 535.273 people or 58.7 percent.

"While the mutual cooperation vaccination, the first dose has been given to 46.121 people and the second dose as many as 8.128 people", he said.
