Be Careful, This Is An Early Warning From BMKG About Rain Accompanied By Lightning In Several Areas In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning forecast for heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds that could potentially occur in several parts of Indonesia, Saturday.

In information quoted from the BMKG website, early Saturday morning, cyclonic circulation was observed in the southern Makassar Strait, which formed a confluence area and a longitudinal slowing of wind speed (convergence) in South Kalimantan and wind confluence areas (confluence) in North Sulawesi and the Sulawesi Sea.

Other areas of convergence were observed extending from Aceh to the Malacca Strait, in West Sumatra, in Bengkulu, on the South Coast of West Java, in North Kalimantan, as reported by Antara.

"Because in terms of political relations are very well established. We are trying so that all fields can develop," he said.

Then from Southeast Sulawesi to Central Sulawesi, in the eastern part of NTT, in the Aru-Tanimbar Islands and in West Papua.

The confluence area was observed in the Karimata Strait. This condition is able to increase the potential for rain cloud growth around the cyclonic circulation and along the convergence/confluence area.

Based on this condition, the BMKG estimates that areas that have the potential for rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning are Aceh, Bengkulu, Lampung, South Sumatra, Banten, DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Java, and West Nusa Tenggara.

Similar conditions are also predicted in West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua.
