Fake Police Arrested For Stealing Mosque Equalizer In Cilegon
CILEGON - A fake police officer was arrested for stealing an equalizer, a complementary device that functions to improve stereo balance and sound quality at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque, Mekarsari Village, Pulomerak District, Cilegon City, Banten.
The Head of the Merak Port Area Police (KSKP) AKP Deden Komarudin, explained that the arrest began with information from one of the officers at Merak Port who received a report of someone suspected of stealing the equalizer.
"Based on this information, our members moved quickly to secure the perpetrators with the characteristics of wearing police shirts and pants which were seen around Pier 2 of Merak Harbor," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 18.
From the examination, said AKP Deden, the perpetrator with the initials DKS (24) was not a member of the police, but he was wearing a t-shirt and police pants. The perpetrators were then handed over to the Pulomerak Police Criminal Investigation Unit for further processing.
Deden explained that after stealing the equalizer, the DKS perpetrators then went to Jakarta. In fact, the equalizer is sold in Jakarta at a price of Rp. 400 thousand to an unknown person.
For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 7 years.
