Head Of East Lombok Police Traffic Head, Iptu Rita Yuliana Initiates Free Vaccine For Driver License Applicants

LOMBOK TIMUR - Just a few days after serving as Head of Traffic Police of East Lombok, Iptu Rita Yuliana innovated in providing services to the community. Iptu Rita Yuliana initiated a free vaccine facility for applicants for a driving license (SIM)

Iptu Rita Yuliana said the program she initiated was a follow-up to the process of making the COVID-19 vaccination successful for residents. This is a follow-up to the Vaccination Battalion program created by the NTB Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal.

"We are doing this as one of the efforts to make the vaccination program a success initiated by the central government because the highest law in our country is to guarantee the safety of the people", said Iptu Rita, quoted from the Police Public Relations statement, Friday, June 18.

The former head of the West Lombok Police Traffic Unit explained that in the process of the program he initiated, his party collaborated with the East Lombok Health Office. Iptu Rita explained that the application for a free SIM for a vaccine can be carried out if the applicant cannot show the result of the vaccine.

"Our SIM applicants ask to show a certificate of having been vaccinated. If there is none, we will check the applicant", continued Iptu Rita.

"If the applicant's check results have not been vaccinated and if they want to vaccinate, we have also prepared a special room as a place for vaccination", added Iptu Rita.

The East Lombok Police Traffic Unit in providing the Vaccine Free SIM facility also carries out several forms of activities to provide convenience for the community, namely a Mobile SIM (Simling). Applicants must register and then collect vaccine data. If not vaccinated, the officer will direct the vaccination process to be carried out.

“We are also holding a drive-thru for two wheels. Here the officer will take the driver's license to record whether or not he has been vaccinated, which will then direct the officer to carry out the vaccine process", said Iptu Rita.

"As for Satpas visitors, applicants will also be registered and then in the data and if they have not been vaccinated, our officers will direct the applicant to vaccinate", concluded Iptu Rita.
