COVID-19 Soars Due To Industrial Cluster In Karawang, Residents Who Lose Their Smell Immediately Go To The Health Center
KARAWANG - The Karawang Regency COVID-19 Task Force, West Java, said positive cases of COVID-19 in the region were increasing due to the emergence of industrial and family clusters.
"After Eid until now, there has been an increase in COVID-19 cases here. This happened because two clusters were found, namely industry and families," said the Karawang COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Fitra Hergyana, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 18.
He hopes that people who experience symptoms of being exposed to COVID-19 such as loss of smell and loss of taste in the tongue immediately report to the local health center.
For handling in industrial areas, Fitra hopes that the company will not cover up information if any of its employees are positive for COVID-19.
"Don't let the information about the existence of positive employees be covered up. It will make the trading process difficult," he said.
Meanwhile, as of Friday, according to data from the Karawang Health Office, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 21,815 cases, an increase of 195 people.
Of the cumulative number, the details are as many as 840 people were treated or an increase of five people compared to the previous day.
Then the number of people who are self-isolating today has increased by 77 people, the number is 721 cases.
For cases of death or the number of people who died due to COVID-19 in Karawang, so far it has reached 679 people or an increase of two people.
Meanwhile, those who were declared cured increased by 111 people, bringing the total to 19,575 cases.
