A Couple In Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, Is Desperate To Snatch A Motorbike, His Wife Is Still Wanted By The Police
MEDAN - Nando (27) and his wife Popi conspired and snatched motorcycle rider M Adam (20). The robbery took place on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Tanjung Balai District, Tanjung Balai City, North Sumatra.
The Head of Public Relations of the Tanjung Balai Police, Iptu Ahmad Dahlan Panjaitan, said the robbery took place on Friday, May 28 evening. When in action, the two perpetrators rode together and then grabbed the victim's vehicle.
"The perpetrator took a cellphone and wallet from the left seat or pocket of the motorcycle driven by the victim, after which they managed to escape," said Dahlan, Friday, June 18.
The victim reported this incident to the Tanjung Balai Police. He admitted that he suffered a loss of Rp. 4.9 million and the smartphone was lost. Based on that report the police investigated the case
"Then on Wednesday, June 16, at 17.00, the police arrested Nando in Sei Raja Village, Sei Tualang Raso District. The suspect who was arrested was immediately taken to the Tanjung Balai Police Station for further investigation," continued Dahlan.
According to Dahlan, the two suspects are a married couple.
"(Popi) The suspect's wife, but married in a siri and already has one child," said Dahlan.
When the two of them were in action, Nando was tasked with carrying a motorbike and snatching the perpetrator's valuables. Meanwhile, Popi is holding the bag that the perpetrator took from the victim's hand.
The police are currently hunting for the wife of the perpetrator who is still at large. "(The suspect's wife) has not been caught," said Dahlan.
