The Perpetrator Of The Jambi Rubber Tauke Shooting Arrested In The Middle Of The Forest

JAKARTA - A joint team from the Resmob Ditreskrimum of the Jambi Police together with the Sultan Team of the Tebo Police, the Sarolangun Police Opsnal, and the Muara Tabir Police arrested two perpetrators who allegedly shot a rubber sap towk, causing the victim to die.

"Two perpetrators were arrested, namely Ahmad Dameri alias Bujang Aziz (32) and Wika Saputra (31) residents of RT 01 Pemusiran Village, Kecamaran Mandiangin, Sarolangun Regency, said the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Jambi Police," said Kombes Kaswandi Irwan, in Jambi, reported by Antara, Friday, 18 June.

During the arrest of the two shooters, a joint team led by the Jambi Police Resmob Committee Ipda Rifqi Abdillah went straight to the perpetrator's hideout.

The joint team had to ride a motorbike and then walk for four hours by taking steep and extreme terrain to get into the forest where the perpetrators were hiding.

Kaswandi Irwan said that the perpetrator shot a victim named Gangsah who is a rubber tycoon on Sunday, June 13 at around 10.30 WIB in the Rengkiling Mandiangin area, Sarolangun Regency.

"The victim was shot by the perpetrator using a small homemade weapon and the victim died at the scene after suffering a gunshot wound to the stomach," he said.

The shooting incident began with a commotion between the victim and the two perpetrators in which the victim said the two perpetrators had committed theft of his rubber latex.

The two perpetrators were accused by the victim of stealing rubber latex so that the victim was not happy and met the perpetrator, but when they met the perpetrator there was a commotion between them but one of the perpetrators took a homemade firearm or was too short to shoot the victim.

After shooting, the two perpetrators fled into the forest and moved to hiding places in the forest.

"The perpetrator during the escape was finally designated as a DPO and moved to hiding places and the perpetrator was caught by a joint team in the Tanah Garo Muaro Tabir forest, Tebo Regency," said Kaswandi Irwan.

When they were arrested, the two perpetrators took action against them and tried to escape, so that decisive action was taken against the perpetrators with hot lead from officers.

The evidence that was secured from the perpetrators was in the form of a small homemade weapon. For their actions, the two perpetrators were subject to Article 340 of the Criminal Code and 338 of the Criminal Code with the threat of a sentence of more than 10 years in prison.
