Worried About CCTV At The Governor's Rujab, Nurdin Abdullah's Rp 2.5 Billion Bribe Money Was Handed Over At Taman Macan

MAKASSAR - Secretary of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) of South Sulawesi (South Sulawesi) Edy Rahmat admitted receiving bribes for the inactive South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah from the defendant Agung Sucipto, at Taman Macan Makassar. The bribe money was handed over on Friday, February 26 at around 21.00 WITA.

"At that time, I received the money, which totaled Rp. 2.5 billion, from Mr. Agung Sucipto, at Taman Macan at around 21.00 WITA," said Edy Rahmat as a witness for the defendant Agung Sucipto in a follow-up trial in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Thursday, 17 June.

He said the total Rp. 2.5 billion came from contractor Agung Sucipto of Rp. 1.5 billion, and Rp. 1.050 billion from another contractor, Hari Samsuddin.

Edy explained that the handover of money was not carried out at the governor's office, because he was worried about the large number of monitoring cameras or CCTV. Therefore a place of delivery that is free from cameras and crowds.

"There are a lot of CCTV in the office, so it was decided beyond just handing over. At first the appointment was at RM Fisherman and I arrived first, then Pak Agung drove a sedan. After arriving at the restaurant, I then took Pak Agung's car until I arrived near the park Macan, Pak Agung's driver, moved his suitcase and backpack to my car," he said.

Edy explained that the money from Hari Samsuddin who is the owner of the company PT Purnama Karya Nugraha as much as Rp. 1.050 billion was handed over to Agung Sucipto to be assisted in getting an irrigation project in Sinjai Regency.

Meanwhile, Rp1.5 billion was a token of gratitude that was previously billed by the Governor of South Sulawesi Nurdin Abdullah through PUTR Secretary Edy Rahmat.

"At that time, about two weeks before the OTT, I was ordered to meet Pak Agung Sucipto so that he could be helped because the election was just over. He said the money was for the volunteer team and Pak Agung agreed," he said.

Edy admitted that since he was ordered by Nurdin Abdullah, only about three days later he left for Bulukumba Regency to deliver the message, and on February 25. He was told that the requested money was ready and the delivery would be made a day later or on February 26, 2021.
