Bobby Nasution Blusukan Checks Got, Doesn't Want Drainage Water To Be 'Disturbed'
MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution went to Sunggal Street, Tanjung Rejo Village, Medan Sunggal District.
This blusukan was carried out by President Jokowi's son-in-law because local residents complained that the drainage was clogged and caused flooding when it rained.
During the visit, Bobby Nasution directly listened to the complaints of the people. He also checked directly the condition of the drainage which was a complaint from the community.
"This is what the people of Medan see and feel, many drainages are blocked, the flow is blocked here and there. I have also conveyed this at the Musrenbang," said Bobby Nasution, Wednesday, June 16.
Bobby Nasution wants, the drainage function is really optimized. He did not want the flow of water from residents' houses to be confused when they were in the drainage because it could not flow perfectly.
"We don't want the water in the drainage to be confused, it must be clear (the flow)," he said.
To rehabilitate drainage in Medan, Bobby Nasution really wanted to have a clear technical study.
"Let's not do drainage, just waste money, it's not clear where the water is going, the budget is running out," he said.
According to Bobby Nasution, currently the existence of drainage in Medan needs to be re-evaluated. This year, Bobby and his staff made a technical plan for the rehabilitation of all drainages.
"This year we are making a technical plan. But waiting for next year, something like this still has to be cleaned up," he said.
Therefore, Bobby Nasution appealed to people who want to build a building not to block the drainage.
"This is all about socializing to the community so that when building buildings, businesses don't close the drainage. Because the community is the one who loses. This is a flood complaint, if the flood sells food, they can't sell because the drainage is closed," he continued
