Instead Of Spreading Hoaxes On Social Media, Better Trade To Be A Seller

JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission I, Helmy Faishal Zaini, highlighted the many hoaxes circulating on social media, often young people are the perpetrators. According to him, the younger generation must be wiser in using technology, in this case social media.

"If some groups use social media as a medium for provocation, let us all be an important part of efforts to do something positive in the midst of society," said Helmy in the BAKTI Kominfo discussion with the theme "Youth, Hoax News and Radicalism. ", quoted Tuesday, June 15.

Recently, Helmy invited several groups of MSMEs filled with youth to be introduced to online shopping. He invited one of the marketplace platforms, Shopee, to train MSMEs on how to market their products.

"So there are a lot of young friends who have products made from their crafts, whether it's cakes, or weaving. The market so far is only limited to the domestic market, only the local market. After we invite several digital platforms, one of them is Shopee, then they are trained how to market on social media such as having their products photographed properly, with a very simple technique then they have accounts on various existing marketplace pages and the impact of that is that the turnover of their trade turnover is now increasing , said Helmy.

In the midst of the challenges of an increasingly changing era, Helmy invites young people to use social media wisely. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, social media can provide great benefits.

"Let us continue to build this commitment as part of social responsibility, where each of us is an important part of realizing a healthy information," he concluded.
