Anji's Family Requests Rehabilitation Process, Police: Authority Of BNNP Or BNN

JAKARTA - The police said there was a request from the family of musician Erdian Aji Prihartanto alias Anji for the rehabilitation process. However, whether the application is granted or not depends on the results of the assessment.

"The family of the person concerned has submitted an application so that the person concerned can be assessed," said West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Head AKBP Ronaldo Maradona Siregar to reporters, Tuesday, June 15.

The assessment process is under the authority of BNNP or central BNN. Later, the team from there will conclude that Anji deserves or not to undergo rehabilitation.

"This team is carrying out a process of deepening research on the person concerned regarding whether it is purely a user or the person involved is involved with the dealer and so on," said Ronaldo.

After the assessment is complete and the BNNP or Central BNN issues a recommendation, then the police will follow up. Thus, the matter of the application is not entirely the authority of the police.

"What will be the results from the integrated assessment team. The results will be given to us and then we will follow up," said Ronaldo.

For information, the police said Anji had been consuming marijuana for a long time. Based on the examination, Anji admitted to consuming marijuana since the end of 2020.

However, the police do not yet know the reason Anji was desperate to consume marijuana. However, with the results of the examination, Anji was named a suspect.

So, for now, Aji must be languishing in a cell at the West Jakarta Metro Police.

Meanwhile, Anji was arrested at one of his music studios in the Cibubur area, East Jakarta, Friday, June 11.

During the arrest, his party managed to secure evidence in the form of marijuana. In fact, it is stated that there are still other pieces of evidence.
