KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli Waits For The Supervisory Board's Call Regarding Alleged Ethical Violations

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Lili Pintauli Siregar admitted that she was waiting for a call from the supervisory board to provide clarification regarding alleged ethical violations.

This was conveyed in relation to the reports made by two KPK investigators Novel Baswedan and Rizka Anungnata and the former Director of the KPK's Inter-Commission and Institutional Network Development (PJKAKI) Sujanarko last week.

"Because the file is already with the council, we are just waiting for the process from the council to carry out the clarification process," said Lili in a press conference broadcast on the KPK RI YouTube, Monday, June 14.

Lili was reported to the KPK Supervisory Board for alleged ethical violations. The former deputy chairman of the LPSK was accused of communicating with the Mayor of Tanjungbalai M Syahrial, who was suspected of bribing former KPK investigator Stepanus Robin Pattuju.

"There were two alleged ethical violations reported by the three whistleblowers," said Sujanarko in a written statement to reporters, Wednesday, June 9.

First, Lili allegedly contacted and informed the handling of the alleged corruption case that ensnared the Mayor of Tanjungbalai M Syahrial. Where the case allegedly related to the sale and purchase of positions in the Tanjungbalai Provincial Government is being investigated by the anti-corruption commission.

Meanwhile, in the second case, Lili is said to have used her position as a KPK leader to pressure Tanjungbalai Mayor Syahrial. This was done to settle the staffing affairs of his sister-in-law Ruri Prihatini Lubis at the Tirta Kualo Tanjungbalai Drinking Water Company.

For this allegation, he is suspected of violating the principle of integrity in Article 4 paragraph (2) letter b, Regulation of the Indonesian KPK Supervisory Board Number 2 of 2020 concerning Enforcement of the KPK Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. This article reads:
