Bandung Task Force Wants Every Village To Have A COVID-19 Isolation Place
BANDUNG - The Bandung City COVID-19 Handling Task Force (Satgas) wants every kelurahan to have an isolation place for patients exposed to COVID-19.
The Daily Chair of the Bandung City COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Ema Sumarna, said that currently COVID-19 cases had indeed increased, causing the isolation room occupancy rate to reach almost 90 percent.
"I want one kelurahan to have a place for self-isolation, because now the hotels we have prepared are full," said Ema, who is also the Regional Secretary of Bandung City, quoted by Antara, Monday, June 14.
According to him, this needs to be done as a precautionary measure, given the current increase in new cases of COVID-19 which is more than the number of cures.
Even so, Ema said that currently the city of Bandung is still in the orange zone category. In addition, according to him, 80 percent of all RTs in the city of Bandung are still in the green zone.
"But we are not just a problem from the zone. We are paying attention to the dynamics of the pandemic that we must be aware of," he said.
Ema ensured that her party continued to try to add isolation rooms for COVID-19 patients. According to him, there are two hotels that are currently being prepared to become isolation rooms.
"We are also worried that if there are people who are economically disadvantaged and the place is not suitable and needs an isoman place, it is our obligation to accommodate," said Ema.
