West Java RI Anniversary Ceremony to be Held at the New Gedung Sate Building

JAKARTA - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi ensured that the West Java Provincial Level 81th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia Ceremony on Monday (17/8) in the courtyard of the newly completed Sate Building (merged with Gasibu), also opened the results of its revitalization.

The ceremony in the courtyard of Gedung Sate was also the first moment in the history of the West Java Provincial Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, which is often held in the Gasibu Bandung Square area.

Dedi emphasized that the relocation of the ceremony from Gasibu Square to the courtyard of Gedung Sate was designed so that the background of the documentation of the hoisting of the Red and White Flag aesthetically displayed the landscape of Gedung Sate in its entirety.

"This is the first one. So far, the ceremony venue is at Gasibu Square. When the flag is flying, the hotel building appears on the camera, not the Gedung Sate. Well, that won't happen again," said Dedi Mulyadi, quoted by Antara.

Apart from changing the location, Dedi also completely revamped the formation of the line-up of participants in this RI Independence Day ceremony.

Unlike in previous years, this time the flag ceremony line was only filled with TNI and Polri personnel to maintain order, discipline, and the sanctity of the procession, while the Satpol PP line was reserved for the troop defile.

On the other hand, ASN employees and students are not required to line up in a formal formation. The general public is invited to attend openly to watch and sit back and watch the ceremony in the courtyard of the Sate Building.

"The ceremony was attended by people who are used to ceremonies. They have strong physical endurance. Then have the ability not to talk during the ceremony so that the ceremony can run orderly. Meanwhile, the public can sit around casually to enjoy the flag ceremony. We carry out the ceremony openly in the courtyard of Gedung Sate. The public is invited to attend and see the ceremony," said Dedi.

In terms of the arrangement of the Gedung Sate-Gasibu infrastructure, Dedi ensured that the physical revitalization of the landscape and the Gedung Sate building had been completed, including the work on the main gate and gateway which was targeted to be completed on Sunday (16/8).

He claimed that the physical restoration of the iconic cultural heritage of Bandung City was carried out carefully based on preservation regulations, including the use of special museum-standard paint formulas.

"So now we use paint that has standards in accordance with the provisions of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency," said Dedi, referring to the new appearance of the Gedung Sate which now appears to be painted white, especially the fence.

The Minister of Investment said that Asian investors' response to PFII was positive.
