The other variants consist of the Pro Edition for 349,900 yuan, the Max Edition for 379,900 yuan, and the Max+ Edition for 429,900 yuan.
The Freelander 8 is one of the world's first cars to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397 automotive chip. All variants are also equipped with the Huawei Qiankun Smart Driving ADS 5 driving assistance system.
The car uses an extended-range system with an 800-volt platform. The 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine serves as an additional power plant.
The platform supports 6C fast charging which is claimed to be able to charge the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent in 12 minutes.
The battery uses a CATL Freevoy type lithium ternary with a capacity of 60.3 kWh. In the CLTC testing standard in China, the full electric range is claimed to reach 310 km.
The four-wheel drive version uses two electric motors with a combined power of 610 kW or 818 hp and a peak torque of 813 Nm.
Acceleration 0-100 km per hour is claimed to only take 4.6 seconds.
The two-speed rear motor produces 250 kW or 335 hp, with a maximum torque on the wheels reaching 8,000 Nm.
In terms of design, the Freelander 8 was developed from the Concept 97 with a boxy body shape, a closed grille, and rectangular headlights.
Inside the cabin there is a 46.3-inch widescreen and a 15.6-inch LED screen on the center console. The second row is equipped with zero-gravity seats with heating, ventilation, massage, and footrests. There is also a folding table, a refrigerator, and an entertainment screen on the roof.
CarNewsChina also notes that the Freelander 8 uses the i-ATS Intelligent All-Terrain system developed jointly with Huawei Qiankun.
The system is supported by three locking systems at the front, middle, and back.
Rear wheel steering with an angle of up to 10 degrees is standard equipment. This feature helps reduce the turning radius and allows for crab walk mode, where the car moves diagonally sideways.
The braking system uses a six-piston fixed caliper and a 404 mm diameter ventilated disc. The shortest braking distance is claimed to be 35.7 meters.
