Changan Nevo A06 New Claims 800 Km Range, Price Estimated at 23,730 US Dollars

Changan is preparing a long-distance version of the Nevo A06 with a claimed range of up to 800 km based on the CLTC standard. This electric sedan is expected to be priced starting at 160,000 yuan or around 23,730 US dollars.

CarNewsChina quoted Friday, August 14, saying the model has the potential to be the cheapest electric sedan in China with a range of up to 800 km.

Based on the list of purchase tax reductions released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China or MIIT, the remote version of Nevo A06 will use an LFP battery with a capacity of 80.02 kWh.

The battery cells are supplied by the joint venture CATL and Changan. The battery pack weighs 566 kg. For comparison, BYD's LFP battery with a capacity of 81.8 kWh is said to be 145 kg heavier.

With a full battery, the new version of the Nevo A06 is claimed to be able to travel 770 to 800 km based on the CLTC testing standard in China, depending on the vehicle equipment.

The car uses a single 245 kW or 329 hp permanent magnet electric motor that drives the rear wheels. Its top speed is 188 km per hour.

Another feature is a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof.

Nevo A06 is a mid-size sedan with a length of 4,885 mm, width of 1,916 mm, height of 1,496 mm, and wheelbase of 2,922 mm. The empty weight of the long-distance variant reaches 1,908 kg.

The car is available with 225/55 R18 and 245/45 R19 wheel sizes.

The Nevo A06 was first launched in China in November 2025. The currently available pure electric version is available in two options.

The first variant uses a 120 kW or 161 hp motor with a 51.48 kWh LFP battery and a claimed range of 510 km. The second variant uses a 210 kW or 286 hp motor with a 63.18 kWh battery and a range of 630 km. Both use the CLTC standard.

The Nevo A06 is currently marketed in China at a price of 109,900 to 149,900 yuan or around 16,300 to 22,230 US dollars.

Changan Nevo is a new energy vehicle brand under Changan China Group that targets young buyers. According to China EV DataTracker, the brand delivered 35,585 vehicles in July 2026, up 33.9 percent from the same period last year.

CarNewsChina estimates that the long-distance version of the Nevo A06 will be priced from around 160,000 yuan or 23,730 US dollars. If the estimate is correct, the model has the potential to become the cheapest electric sedan with a claimed range of up to 800 km.
