Prabowo Reveals PT Timah's Profit Soaring to IDR 2.7 Trillion After Regulation of Governance
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto highlighted the surge in PT Timah Tbk's (TINS) performance throughout the first half of 2026 in his speech at the DPR/MPR Annual Meeting.
In his remarks, Prabowo said that TINS' profit was recorded at Rp2.7 trillion in the first six months of this year.
According to Prabowo, this achievement shows a very significant increase in profits compared to the same period last year.
"In six months of 2026, PT Timah has achieved a profit of Rp. 2.7 trillion," said Prabowo, Friday, August 14.
On the same occasion, the head of state also touched on the increase in the valuation of TINS which increased by around 280 percent in August 2026 compared to August 2025. According to him, the increase also provided a large profit for PT Timah shareholders.
"Brothers may have shares in PT Timah, which means their wealth has increased by 300 percent," said Prabowo.
Based on the company's report, TINS recorded revenue of IDR 10.42 trillion in Semester I 2026, an increase of 247 percent compared to Semester I 2025 of IDR 4.22 trillion.
The increase was driven by an increase in sales volume and an increase in the average selling price of lead metal amid still conducive market conditions.
In line with revenue growth, the Company managed to book a net profit of IDR 3.48 trillion, an increase from IDR 0.38 trillion in the first half of 2025.
The Company also recorded EBITDA of IDR 3.90 trillion, an increase of 363 percent compared to the EBITDA of IDR 0.84 trillion in Semester I 2025. Meanwhile, the Company's net profit in Semester I 2026 reached IDR 2.71 trillion, surpassing the 2026 net profit target of IDR 1.61 trillion or equivalent to 169 percent of the target.
