Rony Parulian Presents a Romantic Side through February Single

JAKARTA - Singer Rony Parulian is back to greet Indonesian music lovers through his latest work titled February.

The song, which officially aired on all digital music platforms since August 7, became the second single leading up to the release of his second full-length album, which is scheduled to be released this year.

Through the latest single, the Indonesian Idol talent show alumnus showed a musical transformation that was much warmer, romantic, and personal.

If earlier Rony presented an extensive musical exploration through "Wals Akhir Zaman", now he chooses to delve into an emotional narrative about a person's courage in opening a new heart page.

The creative process of "February" involves strong collaboration in the songwriting line. Rony composed the lyrics and melody with two other musicians, Petra Sihombing and Rendy Pandugo.

In addition to acting as a songwriter, Petra also holds an important role as a music producer in this project.

Rony said the naming of "February" in this song does not refer literally to the calendar alone, but carries a deep symbolic meaning for those who are in love.

"February is not just a name of the month, but a symbol of love celebration. This is about the moment when someone finally has a partner to celebrate Valentine's Day," said Rony in his statement, Friday, August 14.

Furthermore, he said, his collaboration with Petra and Rendy has matured and enriched his perspective in composing lyrics.

"Working again with Petra Sihombing and Rendy Pandugo is a creative process that enriches my way of telling stories as a songwriter. We try to present a simple love story, but still close to the experience of many people about how the presence of someone can change our outlook on life and the future," he said.

The lyrics of "February" carefully record the dynamics of emotional relationships, from the courage to give the first flowers to the moment when it is realized that the daily routine that feels ordinary slowly turns into a colorful one.
