Prabowo: BPK Audit Successfully Saved Rp112 Trillion of State Finances
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto said the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) has a role in ensuring that every rupiah of state funds is managed appropriately and in accordance with its provisions.
This is reflected in the value of state finances that have been saved through the results of the BPK's examination and recommendations.
Prabowo made the statement at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and Joint Meeting of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) and the Indonesian DPD, Friday, August 14.
Prabowo said that throughout 2025, the recommendations of the BPK audit had resulted in the saving of state finances worth Rp. 112 trillion and this value came from the follow-up of recommendations given to ministries, institutions, and government agencies.
"BPK ensures that every rupiah of public money is used properly and appropriately. Throughout 2025, the recommendations of the BPK audit results have resulted in the saving of state finances of IDR 112 trillion," he said.
According to him, this achievement also increases international confidence in Indonesian auditors and the BPK, which is now trusted by a number of strategic roles in international audit forums and activities.
"The world's trust in Indonesian auditors has also increased," he said.
Prabowo said that BPK had been elected as the Chairman of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) for the period 2028-2031 and BPK was also entrusted to be a member of the United Nations Board of Auditors for the period 2026-2032.
