Distribution of BRI KUR until the end of June 2026 reaches Rp. 103.81 trillion
JAKARTA - As an effort to support the empowerment of MSMEs as drivers of the national economy, providing inclusive access to financing continues to be the commitment of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI). BRI continues to strengthen this role through the distribution of People's Business Loans (KUR), where by the end of June 2026, BRI has successfully distributed KUR of IDR 103.81 trillion to 2 million debtors in various regions of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the distribution of KUR is dominated by productive sectors that have a strategic role in the national economy. The agricultural sector is the largest recipient or equivalent to 42.68% of the total distribution, followed by the trade sector with a share of 32.34%. Overall, BRI's KUR absorption continues to target sectors that are directly in contact with the fulfillment of the basic needs of the wider community.
This high capital absorption not only encourages business sustainability, but also becomes the main driving force in bringing MSMEs to a higher class as a financially healthier, sustainable business entity, and has a greater business scale capacity.
Director of Micro BRI Akhmad Purwakajaya said that KUR is BRI's strategic instrument in carrying out the mission of SME competitiveness. According to him, as part of the Danantara ecosystem, BRI continues to direct distribution to productive sectors such as KUR which is able to create added value for the national economy, strengthen food security, encourage entrepreneurship, and expand economic equity in each region through a series of empowerment of business actors.
"KUR is not only a financing instrument, but part of a joint effort to strengthen the foundation of the national economy from the grassroots level. The distribution directed to productive sectors, especially agriculture, is expected to be able to increase the productivity of people's businesses while strengthening the regional economic base and supporting the national food security agenda. Through increasingly inclusive and targeted access to financing, MSMEs and business actors can grow stronger, create jobs, and make a sustainable contribution to the national economy," said Akhmad.
BRI's success as part of Danantara in encouraging MSMEs to rise in class is also reflected in the achievement of graduation of KUR debtors. Graduation is an indicator that business actors who previously used KUR financing have developed and have the capacity to access commercial financing.
Until June 2026, as many as 487 thousand KUR debtors have successfully graduated, or equivalent to 50.71% of BRI's graduation target in 2026 of 962 thousand debtors. This achievement confirms that the KUR distributed by BRI not only expands access to financing, but also encourages sustainable business scale expansion.
In addition, BRI is also consistently strengthening the housing provision ecosystem through the distribution of the Housing Program Loan (KPP) alias KUR Perumahan. Until June 2026, BRI's KPP realization was recorded at Rp. 10.7 trillion or reached 89% of the total target for the distribution of BRI's KPP of Rp. 12 trillion. Where, this distribution includes financing to business actors on the side of housing provision as well as financing for the community from the demand side. This is also expected to strengthen the capacity of the housing sector as well as create a multiplier effect for business activities and labor absorption.
In its implementation, Akhmad stated that BRI continues to apply the principle of prudence by prioritizing transparency and accountability. This is important considering that KUR is entirely sourced from banking funds derived from the collection of community funds, so that credit quality must be maintained. (ADV)
