JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo is confident that the Jakarta Integrated People's School 4 facility, which he believes is no less than a boarding school or private boarding school.
This was conveyed by Dody when reviewing the facilities of the 4 Jakarta Integrated People's School, Tuesday, August 11.
According to Dody, the available facilities support the boarding education concept, ranging from study rooms, student and teacher residences to facilities to support educational activities.
"This People's School is like a boarding school, but with quality that can be compared to private schools that are boarding schools," said Dody, quoted from a written statement, Thursday, August 13.
The 4 Jakarta Integrated People's School has started carrying out educational activities since June 14, 2026.
Currently, there are 404 students at the Integrated People's School 4 Jakarta.

Various facilities are prepared to support the boarding education concept which not only provides a study room, but also a place to stay and supporting facilities for students during education.
Although it has been used for teaching and learning activities, Dody said, a number of Jakarta People's School facilities will still be improved gradually.
This is done by considering the development of school needs, including plans to increase students in the coming months.
"The building is already done, it's good. It's just a little bit, minor. Overall it's good. Gradually there will be additions, in a few months there will be additional students," he said.
The 4 Jakarta Integrated People's School was built in the midst of urban land constraints.
The complex stands on land of approximately 4.03 hectares.
So not all functions can be built in the form of a stand-alone facility.
Dody said, his party is optimizing the space and function of the available buildings so that the main needs of students are still met.
He said the construction of the People's School was part of an effort to provide education for the community while supporting President Prabowo Subianto's idea to break the chain of poverty early.
"This is the fruit of President Prabowo Subianto's thoughts to break poverty as early as possible. One way is to send our younger siblings here. The important thing is how this facility can really support children to learn," he concluded.
