ITSEC Asia Launches Cyber & AI Academy, Trains Cyber Security and AI Professionals

PT ITSEC Asia Tbk (ITSEC Asia) officially launched the ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy, to strengthen cybersecurity and artificial intelligence talent in Indonesia through practice-based learning, real-world experience, and technology.

The launch of the ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy is in line with the government's initiative to create around 9 million Indonesian digital talents by 2030, of which Indonesia currently only has around 3 million.

"This gap cannot be overcome by the government alone. It requires strong collaboration between the government, industry and educational institutions to prepare the talents needed by Indonesia in the midst of digital economic growth," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria.

Through the ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy, ITSEC Asia's 16 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity is expected to be a learning experience designed to help professionals develop skills that are relevant to the needs of the workforce.

"The challenges of cybersecurity and AI continue to grow. Therefore, we need more professionals who are able to understand the technology practically, secure it and use it responsibly. The ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy is part of our commitment to contribute to strengthening Indonesia's digital capabilities," added Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia.

ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy has two main focuses that are designed to answer the need for competence in the digital era.

Cybersecurity Academy: Defend & Attack builds the ability to understand, test, defend and respond to cyber threats. This approach gives participants a defensive and offensive perspective so that they understand how systems are protected as well as how vulnerabilities can be found and tested.

AI Academy: Build & Govern focuses on the ability to build, implement and manage AI technology while considering security and governance aspects. This approach answers the needs of organizations that are increasingly using AI in business processes and decision-making.
