President Prabowo Inaugurates Precision Red and White Bridge, Riau Police Chief Reports 110 Bridges for the People

KAMPAR - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the construction of 3,395 bridges and 3,000 sources of clean water for the community built by the TNI-Polri in various regions of Indonesia.

During the inauguration, the President expressed his appreciation to the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and all ranks of the National Police who have worked together to build bridges to remote villages and regions.

Nationally, the National Police has built and renovated 895 Precision Red and White Bridges. For Prabowo, what the police have done is a form of service and the presence of the state whose benefits can be felt directly by the community.

"I also believe that General Police Listyo has reached the highest peak in the police, it is deserved for his achievements, dedication, and ability. Today for me, today I use this opportunity once again to convey my pride," said Prabowo online from the State Palace, Thursday, August 13.

The President also expressed his gratitude to the National Police Chief, both in his capacity as President of the Republic of Indonesia and personally.

He assessed that the police had worked in areas that were not easily accessible to answer the basic needs of the community.

"Brother has captured what it means to be a leader. You have captured how happy it is when we can do something meaningful for our people. Especially our most remote people, especially our people in the village," said Prabowo.

In the midst of the inauguration series, President Prabowo then greeted directly to a number of Polda in the region through video conference. One of them is the Riau Police.

From the location of the Presisi Merah Putih Bridge in Gobah Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan reported directly to the President about the construction of the bridge and a number of programs that were carried out to reach people in areas with limited access.

Herry said that the President's directive that every element of the state should present real benefits for the community was translated in Riau through the construction of the Precision Red and White Bridge.

"Following up on the President's direction that every end of the country works to bring tangible benefits to the community, we in Riau are trying to translate this direction into one joint work," Herry told the president.

The Police Chief then reported that 110 Precision Red and White Bridges had been built in various areas of Riau Province through collaboration between the Riau Police and the community.

"We, the Riau Police, together with the community, make and build 110 Precision Red and White Bridges," he said.

The moment of dialogue with the President was even more felt when the Police Chief introduced Raisa Adelia, a 13-year-old student from Gobah Village who felt the benefits of the bridge construction.

In front of the President, the MTs Ahmad Dahlan Gobah student opened his conversation with a pantun.

"Buy durian on the side of the road, eat with true friends. The Red and White Bridge is a pride, Mr. President smiles, our pride," said Raisa.

Raisa then told about the condition of the bridge in her village before it was repaired. The damaged and potholed bridge was previously one of the obstacles for her to go to school.

"I want to thank the President for building a bridge in our village. Previously, our bridge was severely damaged and hollow. Now, we don't have to go to school because the bridge is good. Thank you Mr. President, long life and always healthy," he said.

On the same occasion, the Riau Police Chief also reported the implementation of the Precision Red and White Expedition held ahead of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

The program is a follow-up to the instructions of the National Police Chief to visit the community in the lagging, leading, and outermost (3T) areas that still have limited access in Riau Province.

"Ahead of the 81st Anniversary, we are making the Precision Red and White Expedition program as a follow-up to the direction of the National Police Chief to visit the community in the outermost and most forward areas that still have limited access in Riau Province," said Herry.

The Police Chief also conveyed to President Prabowo that the expedition also carried a mission to preserve the environment through mangrove planting and restoration in coastal areas.

"In this activity, we also carried out mangrove planting and restoration as an effort to strengthen the natural fortress of coastal areas that are affected by abrasion," he explained.

Meanwhile, President Prabowo emphasized that national development should not only be centered on large projects.

According to him, people who are far from the center of life must also feel the presence of the state and get a good quality of life.

"Maybe we can do more brilliant projects, yes we need massive investment, but we just understand and we must always understand that the state must be present for the most remote people. People who are furthest from the centers of big life must enjoy good quality of life," said Prabowo.
