Kuwait foils ISIS plot to attack vital facilities
JAKARTA - The State Security Service of Kuwait thwarted a terrorist attack on one of the country's vital facilities. Regarding this terror plan, authorities detained a member of the Islamic State (ISIS) group.
"The security forces of the Ministry of Interior, represented by the State Security Service, succeeded in foiling a terrorist plan targeting one of the country's vital facilities. They also detained a member of the ISIS terrorist organization before being able to carry out their plan," according to a statement from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior. reported by ANTARA from Sputnik, Thursday, August 13.
According to the ministry, the prisoner received training in the manufacture of explosives and unmanned aerial vehicles. He also made a drone, which was planned to be used in the attack.
The necessary legal action has been taken against the suspect. He has also been handed over to the authorities for further investigation.
