Minister of Youth and Sports Thanks President Prabowo Subianto for Trust in the Ministry of Youth and Sports
JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Erick Thohir, thanked President Prabowo Subianto for giving the Ministry of Youth and Sports full discretion to carry out a comprehensive bureaucratic transformation.
Erick said that this step to overhaul the bureaucracy was part of Prabowo's strategic direction which was implemented throughout the Ministry/Agency in order to present a clean, transparent, and accountable government.
"The President encourages the name of bureaucratic transformation in all Ministries/Institutions. We also implement the President's instructions and he gives us the freedom to transform," said Erick in Jakarta.
The efforts to improve the internal affairs carried out consistently by the Ministry of Youth and Sports are now beginning to bear fruit.
One of the parameters is seen from the skyrocketing value of the Kemenpora performance index which touches the figure of 83 percent based on the assessment of the Ministry of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform.
"As previously reported, for example, an increase has now reached 83 percent. Thank you, Minister of PAN-RB, for accompanying us. We will continue to encourage even though it has increased a lot," said Erick.
In addition, concrete evidence of the success of governance improvement in the Kemenpora body is also marked by the return of the WTP opinion predicate from the Indonesian Financial Supervisory Board (BPK).
Erick said that the highest opinion in the state financial management was a positive reflection of the commitment to openness and integrity in the Ministry of Youth and Sports environment.
"Alhamdulillah we met the BPK, we got the WTP back, and this is a very positive thing," he said.
Erick explained that the surge in bureaucratic performance and the WTP opinion score were two strong indicators that the internal reform process in the Ministry of Youth and Sports was on the right track.
"These are two things that prove that we have made many improvements and indeed must always be transparent," he said.
