After the Constitutional Court Decision, the Government Reviews the 2027 Education Budget

Jakarta - The government is reviewing the education budget in the preparation of the 2027 State Budget after the Constitutional Court's decision. The government ensures that the mandate of allocating at least 20 percent for education remains a concern.

This was conveyed by the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 12.

According to Prasetyo, the Constitutional Court's decision is of concern to the government. The government ensures that mandatory spending of 20 percent is still carried out.

According to Prasetyo Hadi, the government said there was an additional education program outside the allocation that was recorded as education budget.

Apart from the education budget, the government also significantly increased the target for school improvement.

From the initial 17 thousand schools in 2026, the target was then increased by about 60 thousand points so that the total improvement this year approached 80 thousand schools.
