Prabowo Suggests Destry Damayanti as BI Governor, Track Record as Main Reason

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto has submitted the name of Destry Damayanti as Governor of Bank Indonesia, replacing Perry Warjito who resigned.

The Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi revealed that Destry's election was based on his track record.

This was conveyed by Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 12.

Prasetyo said Destry's long experience in the financial sector, including two periods as Senior Deputy Governor of the BI, was a fundamental consideration.
