Febri Adriansyah and Family Talk About Trimo's Death, Ask the Public Not to Speculate  

JAKARTA - Febrie Adriansyah and his foster family spoke about Trimo's death. Through his lawyer team, Febri Diansyah, they expressed their condolences and asked the public not to speculate on the incident.

"We received a message from Mr. FA and his family that the family was overwhelmed with grief and deep sorrow when they learned the news of Mr. Trimo's death," said Febri in a written statement, Wednesday, August 12.

"Mr. FA and his family respect the investigation being conducted by the Police. The family hopes that with the legal process, the facts regarding this incident will become clearer so that there is no speculation or assumptions that are not true," he continued.

Meanwhile, Firman Wijaya, who is also Febrie Adriansyah's legal team, explained that Trimo does not have the status of head of household as reported. This figure is said to live to guard an empty house belonging to the family.

However, Firman said Trimo often went home or took other jobs so he didn't work full-time with Febrie.

"So the position of the deceased is not as a karumga as many have said, but more to take care of an empty house and live there," said Firman.

Firman further asked that Trimo's death was not associated with his client's case which was being processed at the Attorney General's Office. Moreover, this figure has been ill for a long time and undergoing treatment.

The public is asked not to make excessive speculation and wait for the results of the police investigation. "As far as the family knows, the deceased has been ill for a long time. When he was treated, he was diagnosed with diabetes for years," said Firman.

"The family hopes that the deceased's event will not be connected or associated early with the case that Mr. FA is currently undergoing at the Prosecutor's Office. So, let's wait for the process that the National Police will carry out first."

In addition, the legal team also asked all parties to respect the process of handling the Febrie Adriansyah case. Including, the pretrial submission that was carried out last week.

"The lawyer team also invites all parties to respect the legal process, including the pre-trial which is the basic right of all citizens in the framework of implementing the law that judges. Do not mix the deceased's events with the legal process that is running and do not make this event an instrument to delegitimize the pre-trial that will soon run," said Firman.

Sutrimo was found unconscious in front of the Mordent Esthetic Clinic, Pulo area, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Thursday, July 23. This incident occurred a day before Febrie was detained as a suspect in a corruption case and money laundering (TPPU).

The cause of his death will be investigated. Polda Metro Jaya plans to exhumed Sutrimo's body in Banyumas on Wednesday, August 12.
