Ahead of August 17, Gita Bahana Nusantara Holds Independence Concert in Bogor

BOGOR - A total of 182 participants in the Gita Bahana Nusantara 2026 from 30 provinces are preparing to perform in the series of the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17.

Before appearing at the peak of the independence anniversary, they attended the Gita Bahana Nusantara 2026 Independence Concert at the Panahan Field, Pakansari Stadium, Bogor Regency, West Java, Tuesday, August 11.

Minister of Culture Fadli Zon said that participants in Gita Bahana Nusantara came from various regions and were dominated by the younger generation.

"Participants in GBN 2026 come from all provinces in Indonesia, there are also musicians who number around 60 people. We all listen to the extraordinary talents from all over Indonesia, young people, students and also students," said Fadli.

According to Fadli, Gita Bahana Nusantara is part of the series of commemorations of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence in 2026.

Fadli also assessed the cultural diversity seen in the performance as a unifying force.

"Indonesia has extraordinary art and cultural wealth, one of which is through music and language. But wealth, diversity, difference, is not a threat, but a unifying force," he said.

The concert is divided into four acts. The repertoire combines national songs, regional songs, and popular Indonesian songs.

A number of songs performed include Indonesia Raya by WR Soepratman, Hari Merdeka and Dwi Warna by Husein Mutahar, Rayuan Pulau Kelapa by Ismail Marzuki, Mirasantika by Rhoma Irama, Rahasia Hati by Nidji, Panggung Sandiwara by Ian Antono with lyrics by Taufik Ismail, to a medley of Nusantara regional songs.

Gita Bahana Nusantara 2026 Purwatjaraka instructor was also present with the jury board, trainers, producers, and participants.

The activity was also attended by Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto, Deputy Regent of Bogor Ade Ruhandi, a number of central and regional government officials, and the community.

Fadli hopes that Gita Bahana Nusantara's performance on August 17 can run optimally.

"Hopefully, Gita Bahana Nusantara 2026 will perform brilliantly in front of the President and in front of all Indonesian people on August 17," said Fadli.
