Superior in Six Categories, Riau Police General Champion of Food Security

JAKARTA - The Riau Police have again made achievements at the national level. The Riau Police managed to win the Overall Champion of Cluster 3 in the assessment of the 2026 National Police Food Security Program after recording achievements in six assessment categories.

The award was handed directly by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to the Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan during the Awarding Day Appreciation for Polri Creativity held at the Grand Ballroom of The Tribrata, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 11, 2026 evening.

Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Kombes Akmadi, said that the general champion title was achieved based on the accumulated value of all categories that were followed.

The Riau Police recorded the highest value compared to other police who were included in Cluster 3.

"Alhamdulillah, the Riau Police won the General Champion of Cluster 3. This achievement is the accumulation of achievements in various categories. This is proof of the joint work of all levels in supporting and implementing the food security program," said Akmadi, Wednesday, August 12.

In the assessment, the Riau Police won the second place in the category of land addition and corn production, the second place in the category of Bulog corn absorption, and the first place in the category of media management of the police.

The achievement also came from the regional level. The Indragiri Hulu Police won the 3rd Place in the Media Management Category.

Meanwhile, in the innovation category, the Riau Police won the 2nd Place in the Polda Innovation Category and the Kuantan Singingi Police managed to become the 1st Place in the Police Innovation Category.

"These six achievements were then accumulated in the final assessment and placed the Riau Police as the highest value winner and the overall champion of Cluster 3," said Akmadi.

Nationally, the assessment of the National Police Food Security Program is divided into three clusters. The East Java Police came out as the Overall Champion of Cluster 1, the West Kalimantan Police as the Overall Champion of Cluster 2, while the Riau Police became the Overall Champion of Cluster 3.

Akmadi said that the award received directly from the National Police Chief by the Riau Regional Police Chief was an appreciation for the collective work of all members of the Riau Regional Police, from the Polda level to the Polres, together with the local government, Bulog, farmers' groups and various other stakeholders.

According to him, this achievement is also a motivation to ensure that the food security program continues to run and provides real benefits for the community.

This award, continued Akmadi, is a proud achievement for all personnel and is also a responsibility to continue to improve what has been done.

"The spirit is not to stop at awards, but how the National Police will take part in strengthening food security and providing benefits for the community," said Akmadi.
