KPK Reveals the Reason for Rudy Tanoe's Inspection to Calculate State Losses

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed the examination of the President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik (DNRL) Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo or Rudy Tanoe to complete the calculation of state losses in the corruption case of distributing social assistance (bansos) rice.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said Rudy was questioned by investigators along with the auditor of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). A number of materials have been investigated by investigators through an examination held at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, August 11.

"Where in this examination was carried out by investigators together with the BPKP auditor for the purpose of calculating the state financial losses caused by the alleged illegal acts of the parties in the process of procurement and distribution of rice social assistance," Budi told reporters at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted Wednesday, August 12.

"So in the examination, of course, we will investigate how the process and mechanism of procurement and distribution of rice social assistance is," he continued.

In addition, Budi also said Rudy was also questioned about the contract for the procurement of the distribution of rice social assistance. Because, there were findings of non-conformity in the process that took place in the 2020 period.

"In the contract, the social assistance should be delivered to the homes of social assistance recipients, which means that the contract should be door to door. However, the distribution carried out by these distributors, the vendors who work on the procurement of the distribution of this rice social assistance, do not reach the point of the recipient but only to the villages," he explained.

"This means that it also shifts from the contract agreed by the Ministry of Social Affairs with service providers."

Meanwhile, after undergoing an examination, Rudy did not make any statement. He just admitted that he had given an explanation to the investigators when he was examined.

"There is no response. I was called as a witness for another suspect. That's all. The rest, please go to the investigator or to my legal advisor," said the boss's brother, Hary Tanoesoedibjo.

As previously reported, the KPK has again investigated alleged corruption at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos). A preliminary investigation order (sprindik) has been issued and the case is related to the distribution of social assistance (bansos).

The investigation has been underway since August this year and is an expansion of an earlier corruption case.

Three people have been named as suspects in this case, they are B. Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo as President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik; Edy Suharto as former Director General of Social Empowerment of the Ministry of Social Affairs and now serving as a specialist staff of the Minister of Social Affairs in the field of Social Change and Dynamics and Kanisius Jerry Tengker who is the President Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistik in 2020-2022.

Then, the KPK also named two corporate suspects, namely PT Dosni Roha Indonesia and PT Dosni Roha Logistik. However, the official announcement of the suspects has not been made.
