BGN Leadership Visits Kejaksaan to Discuss Legal Assistance to Supervision

JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) leadership visited the Attorney General's Office, Jakarta, Tuesday, in the name of socializing and discussing legal assistance to cooperation in supervision.

"The BGN leadership was here with the ranks, from the Head, Deputy, and several deputies, came here in the name of brotherhood. Because the new officials, of course, there are many things that need to be communicated in the future," said Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision of BGN Ketut Sumedana as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 11.

During the meeting, Ketut said the BGN leadership asked for legal assistance from the Attorney General's Office, including field supervision involving the District Attorney's Office and the High Prosecutor's Office.

Regarding the handling of the corruption case of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program handled by the Kejagung Jampidsus, Ketut said the BGN leadership was open and left the handling to the Prosecutor's Office.

"The leadership explained and emphasized that anything related to the special criminal investigation, is welcome, open, because it is indeed a personal domain rather than individuals who used to be in BGN," he said.

He also said that BGN was carrying out improvements and evaluations related to the procurement process at the institution so that it would no longer be a loophole for violations of the law.

"Later we will see in the future, hopefully it will get better. The service to the community is more useful, yes. That's the key, that's it," he said.

In line with Ketut, Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, said that during the meeting, cooperation in monitoring the MBG program was discussed.

"In the future, we will establish cooperation involving several personnel of the Prosecutor's Office if necessary in order to improve the implementation of the MBG program governance," he said.

In addition, he continued, the Attorney General ST Burhanuddin in the meeting also said that the case of alleged corruption in MBG by the previous BGN leadership must be the subject of evaluation in the future.

"Don't let it happen again and in the governance especially, and the Prosecutor's Office is ready to help to accompany what the future will be like," he said.
