Rudy Tanoe Fulfills KPK Call Regarding Alleged Corruption in the Distribution of Rice Social Assistance

JAKARTA - Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo or Rudy Tanoe, President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik, met with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today. Investigators examined him regarding alleged corruption in the distribution of rice social assistance (bansos) for the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) Family Hope Program (PKH).

"The BRT has arrived at the KPK Red and White Building at 09.52 WIB," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Tuesday, August 11.

Budi said the examination of the media entrepreneur's brother, Hary Tanoesodibjo, was still ongoing. The details of the material investigated by investigators have not been detailed.

"The person concerned immediately underwent an examination by investigators in the continuation of the investigation of the alleged criminal case related to the distribution of social assistance (bansos) rice," he said.

Meanwhile, Rudy chose to remain silent when he arrived at the KPK office. He and a number of people who accompanied him rushed into the building without giving any explanation.

Rudy was seen carrying a brown envelope but did not explain what was inside.

Rudy is known to have been examined on August 6. However, he did not attend because he had to undergo a health check based on his lawyer's statement, Ricky HP Sitohang.

As previously reported, the KPK has again investigated alleged corruption at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos). A preliminary investigation order (sprindik) has been issued and the case is related to the distribution of social assistance (bansos).

The investigation has been underway since August this year and is an expansion of an earlier corruption case.

Three people have been named as suspects in this case, they are B. Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo as President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik; Edy Suharto as former Director General of Social Empowerment of the Ministry of Social Affairs and now serving as a specialist staff of the Minister of Social Affairs in the field of Social Change and Dynamics and Kanisius Jerry Tengker who is the President Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistik in 2020-2022.

Then, the KPK also named two corporate suspects, namely PT Dosni Roha Indonesia and PT Dosni Roha Logistik. However, the official announcement of the suspects has not been made.
