It Is Still Difficult To See The Importance Of Wong Cilik In Formula E.
JAKARTA - The Jakarta DPRD PSI is the only faction that has expressed rejection of the implementation of Formula E. This was conveyed in a plenary meeting that discussed the general view of the 2020 DKI Regional Budget (Raperda) Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda).
In reading his speech, PSI faction member, Anthony Winza Prabowo viewed DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan as not applying the principle of priority budgeting when proposing the implementation of Formula E.
According to Anthony, this electric car racing event is only enjoyed by the middle to upper class. Meanwhile, taxpayers who are still having trouble getting clean water must also bear the burden of the tax fees that will be used for the implementation of Formula E.
"Does the governor know that there are residents in North Jakarta who have to buy just 1 cubic meter of water at a price of Rp 150 thousand?" said Anthony at the DPRD DKI Building, Wednesday, December 4.
"Does the governor know that there are still people living in Jakarta who are deprived of hope to watch the car racing festival. To defecate they have to race because latrines are still being fought over," he added.
According to Anthony, Formula E is not a priority program. Given, this is not contained in the Regional Regulation on the RPJMD which was valid during Anies's tenure, as well as the Governor Regulation for the Acceleration of the Implementation of Regional Strategic Activities (KSD) in 2019.
"In fact, the value of regional capital participation (PMD) Formula E is greater than the PMD for LRT development. In fact, LRT is a National Strategic Program (PSN)," he said.
Then, no research and empirical evidence can be justified. Anthony's view is that these data are needed to prove a correlation between the implementation of Formula E and the increased use of electric cars, as has been heralded.
Furthermore, he also does not see any empirical evidence that explains that Formula E will grow the local economy. He gave an example, when the City of Montela, Canada held Formula E using the government budget, they actually suffered losses.
"It should be noted that the position of the Governor is only left until 2022. If Formula E burdens the APBD for the next 5 years beyond the term of office (Anies), is this fair and proper?" his smallpox.
Furthermore, the Democrat Party, Golkar, and PKS also highlighted the electric car Olympiad which will be held next year. Unlike PSI, the three parties stated that they supported the holding of the racing event. However, they gave a small note to the DKI Pemprov.
These three factions asked Formula E activities to involve the community more and accommodate local wisdom so that the economic effect was felt, as well as encourage private involvement so that the implementation would not be too burdensome for the APBD.
The rest, the PDIP, Gerindra, PAN, Nasdem, PKB-PPP factions did not highlight the implementation of Formula E in the presentation of views read out. For information, Formula E will be held on June 6, 2020. In order to hold Formula E, the DKI Provincial Government has proposed a budget of around IDR1.6 trillion.
In detail, there is a budget of Rp. 360 billion for commitment fees to the Formula E federation, then Rp. 934 billion for implementation funds that will be managed by the DKI Education and Sports Agency (Dispora), then Rp.305.2 billion for the implementation costs needed by Jakpro.
