Veda Ega Learns a Lot from the Results of the 2026 Silverstone Moto3

JAKARTA - Indonesian young racer, Veda Ega Pratama, took many important lessons after he managed to finish ninth in the 2026 British Moto3 Grand Prix main race which took place at the Silverstone Circuit at the weekend.

The rider from Wonosari, Gunungkidul, who defended the Honda Team Asia started the race from 16th position and managed to overcome everything well to bring home seven points in the race on Sunday, August 9, 2026, WIB evening.

"I'm happy because these points are very important, but more importantly, I learned a lot from this race. Now it's time to work, keep improving, and come back stronger," said the 17-year-old racer.

Veda, who used medium-compound front tires during the race, started the race very well and confidently on the Silverstone track. He immediately took over the 11th position after the race started.

The plan to stay with the group in front was initially going quite smoothly, but several incidents during the race made him lose contact with them. Even so, finishing ninth is a positive result if you look at his starting position.

"I tried to catch up with them again, but I still made some mistakes during the race and I know there are still some things in my racing style that need to be improved," said the rider who has the status of a rookie in Moto3 2026.

Veda started the race series in England by getting sixth place in the First Free Practice or Free Practice 1 (FP1). He then managed to improve his time record by being in third place in the Practice session.

The result made him directly entitled to enter the Second Qualification (Q2), but during the Second Free Practice (FP2) his time record dropped back to 16th place. In the Q2 session, he failed again so he couldn't start the race from the front.

Receiving an additional seven points from Silverstone makes Veda now a total of 97 points from the 12 races that have taken place. The number of points puts him in sixth place in the driver standings.
