JCI Monday Has the Potential to Test Level 6.500, See the Stock Recommendations

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) has the potential to test the 6,500 level in today's trading, Monday, August 10, after last week closed up 2.04 percent to 6,409.6.

Phintraco Sekuritas in its research said the infrastructure sector (2.17 percent) posted the largest strengthening and the non-primary consumer goods sector (0.69 percent) was the only sector to weaken.

The rupiah closed up 0.15 percent at Rp17,897 per US dollar in the spot market. Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves fell to 145.3 billion US dollars in July 2026 from 145.6 billion US dollars in June 2026.

This decline was mainly due to the Government's foreign debt payments and Bank Indonesia's intervention to dampen further Rupiah weakening.

Meanwhile, residential property prices in Indonesia grew 0.69 percent YoY in the second quarter of 2026, slightly up from the 0.62 percent YoY growth in the first quarter of 2026. This moderate increase was supported by stronger growth in several cities.

On a weekly basis, the JCI MACD formed a Golden Cross as the MACD histogram was in the positive area. However, Stochastic RSI is in the overbought area.

"JCI is approaching the MA20 weekly level around the level of 6,488. So if JCI can break through the MA20 level, it is estimated that JCI has the potential to test the level of 6,500," wrote Phintraco Sekuritas.

Meanwhile, MNC Sekuritas in its research gave recommendations for BULL, BUMI, MLPL, and SRTG stocks for trading at the beginning of this week.
