Banten Provincial Government Massively Pick Up Balls to Check the Health of Residents

PANDEGLANG - The Banten Provincial Government (Pemprov) continues to intensify the ball-catching strategy to bring medical services closer to the community through the Free Health Check (CKG) Program, which this time targets more than 1,200 residents of Labuan District, Pandeglang Regency.

Banten Governor Andra Soni, in Pandeglang, Sunday, said the ball pick-up system to these areas was deliberately designed so that the public could carry out routine health checks without being hampered by access or cost constraints.

This ball pick-up service is centered at Ceria Beach Field, Labuan District, by providing 15 medical examination booths.

"The examinations provided include physical measurements, nutritional status, blood pressure checks, to laboratory examinations such as blood sugar and X-rays. By going down directly, we hope that residents will not be afraid or reluctant to check their health," he said.

According to the Governor, bringing health services closer is the most effective preventive measure so that diseases can be detected earlier, prevent serious complications, and anticipate the risk of health disorders before symptoms occur. He also encourages housewives to take advantage of this easy access by inviting all members of their family to seek treatment.

"If it is detected from the beginning, we can take steps to cure it. God willing, in all RSUDs in Banten, treatment is now free," he said.

The presence of this ball pick-up service is very felt by residents in remote areas. Annisa (37), a resident of Labuan District, admitted that he was very helpful because he could do a direct x-ray examination in his village.

"With this ball pick-up mechanism, the community is increasingly helped to get quality and affordable health services. Especially for the elderly, because if they have to go to the Puskesmas, the distance is quite far," said Annisa.

Taking advantage of the momentum of the service that is directly present in his village, Annisa also brought her husband and child to check themselves. He agreed with the government's appeal that early detection is very important to maintain the quality of health in the future.

For information, the massive ball pick-up strategy has managed to boost the achievement of the CKG Program in Banten Province to approach the target of completeness. To date, the service has reached 5.1 million residents out of a total target of 5.9 million people, which also places Banten in the third highest position nationally for the achievement of the program.
