Persija Targets League Trophy for Capital City Residents with Bank Jakarta Support
Persija Jakarta has set a target to win the Indonesian League in the 2026/2027 season. The Kemayoran Tigers want to present the league trophy as a gift for Jakarta's 500th Anniversary (HUT) in 2027.
The target was conveyed by Persija Club President Mohammad Prapanca at the Bank Jakarta x Persija Collaboration Kick-Off event at Taman Suropati, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Prapanca said Persija's collaboration with Bank Jakarta was not just a business cooperation, but part of strengthening the Jakarta sports ecosystem. According to him, Persija and Bank Jakarta both have ties to the capital's people.
"Thank you to Bank Jakarta for the trust and collaboration that has been established with Persija. This collaboration was established thanks to the initiative of the Governor through the spirit of Jakarta must be more Persija," said Prapanca, Sunday, August 9.
Persija hopes that this support can be an additional motivation for the team in facing the new season. The main ambition of the club, said Prapanca, is to end the competition with the title of champion.
"Hopefully this season we can bring the League Cup on Jakarta's 500th anniversary, God willing," said Prapanca.
He assessed that the target was in line with the support coming from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Bank Jakarta, Jakmania, and the people of Jakarta. The synergy of various elements is expected to be an important capital for Persija in the midst of increasingly tight league competition.
According to Prapanca, the partnership with Bank Jakarta is also expected to provide wider benefits, not only for the club, but also for the community.
"The collaboration between Bank Jakarta and Persija is not merely a cooperation between two institutions, but the unity of two entities of Jakarta pride. This is a step to bring more experiences and benefits to the people of Jakarta," he said.
Prapanca hopes that the cooperation can last in the long term and strengthen Persija's relationship with the people of Jakarta.
"Hopefully this collaboration can last a long time, have a positive impact and become something that can be felt directly by all the people of Jakarta," he said.
Furthermore, Prapanca also expressed his appreciation to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung for the support provided to Persija. According to him, the support of the local government is an important part in maintaining Persija's position as a club that is attached to the identity of Jakarta.
"Thank you to all the people of Jakarta and also Jakmania. Hopefully this new season we can unite Jakarta. Persija is a part that will always be for Jakarta," he added.
