Not Just a Sponsor, Bank Jakarta Enters Persija's Digital Ecosystem

JAKARTA - The collaboration between Bank Jakarta and Persija Jakarta is no longer limited to the placement of commercial logos on the players' jerseys.

Bank Jakarta officially penetrated the entire digital financial ecosystem of the pride club of the capital city.

This strategic step was marked by an event entitled "Bank Jakarta x Persija Collaboration Kick-Off" which was held at Taman Suropati, Central Jakarta, Sunday, August 9.

Through this partnership, Bank Jakarta will integrate a digital payment system into various operational lines of Persija.

The digital services include purchase transactions at the Persija Store, Persija Cafe, the Persija Access platform, to the provision of a special financial literacy program for The Jakmania supporters.

The event to launch this collaboration was attended directly by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung, the Governor's Special Staff Coordinator Firdaus Ali, Bank Jakarta's President Commissioner Anang Basuki and his board of commissioners, as well as Bank Jakarta's President Director Agus Haryoto Widodo and his board of directors and supervisory board.

Also present were the Head of OJK Jabodetabek Edwin Nurhadi, Deputy Director of the Bank Indonesia Office for DKI Jakarta Province Agung Susilo, Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial BUMD Development Agency Saefullah Hidayat, Special Staff for the Governor for Youth and Sports Kiki Budi Darmawan, Mayor of Central Jakarta Administration Arifin, Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Youth and Sports Office Andriansyah, and Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Parks and Forests Department M Fajar Sauri.

From the club side, Persija Jakarta Club President Mohamad Prapanca and his management, The Jakmania General Chairman Muhammad Aditya Putra, new coach Shin Tae-yong and his coaching and official staff, as well as Persija's players including Pratama Arhan and Denis Kolinger.

Bank Jakarta President Director Agus Haryoto Widodo emphasized that this cooperation marked a shift in concept from ordinary sponsorship to a mutually beneficial strategic partnership.

"We see it more as a partnership to provide the same benefits on both sides. We will provide support to the Persija ecosystem, primarily in terms of financial and financial transaction support," said Agus.

In line with the expansion of the digital ecosystem, Bank Jakarta also introduced its new digital identity through the official website bankjakarta.co.id which replaced the old domain bankbki.co.id.

This step was taken to provide a more modern, intuitive, and customer-centric transaction experience for Jakarta residents and Persija supporters.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung fully supports this digital ecosystem integration. He assessed that the synergy between BUMD and Persija must be able to provide convenience in transactions and a tangible positive impact for the wider community.

"The DKI Jakarta government does not blindly support it immediately. But whatever Persija brings the name of Jakarta and becomes a pride and then Persija's achievement is like what the people of Jakarta hope for," said Pramono.

Pramono stated that this solid ecosystem support is expected to be a major boost for Persija to secure the title as a gift to commemorate the five centuries of the City of Jakarta in 2027.

Persija Jakarta's new coach Shin Tae-yong is optimistic about the commitment of the club's strategic partners.

He emphasized that he was ready to compose a team that could answer the high expectations.

"It's a great honor for me to be able to attend this extraordinary event. I am very grateful. For this season, I promise not to disappoint and will work hard to deploy my best abilities to form a solid and proud team," said Shin Tae-yong.

"Given that the Governor continues to express his hope that our team can become champions as a special gift to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Jakarta, then consider my arrival here is indeed aimed at realizing the champion gift," said the South Korean coach.

Meanwhile, Persija Jakarta Club President Mohamad Prapanca appreciated the sustainability of synergy with Bank Jakarta which was considered to strengthen the club's relationship with the capital city.

"This is not just a collaboration between two institutions. But the unity of the two entities is the pride of Jakarta as a step to bring more experiences and benefits to the people of Jakarta," said Prapanca.

In addition to strengthening the digital ecosystem, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also balances this collaboration with the improvement of the Jakarta International Stadium facilities as Persija's main home.

The local government is optimizing the integration of the KRL fleet and the arrangement of the Ancol parking area to facilitate the accessibility of supporters when home matches are held.
