The Ministry of Culture Receives WTP, BPK Still Gives Notes and Recommendations
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Culture received a WTP opinion from the Financial Audit Agency for the 2025 fiscal year financial statements. However, the BPK still provides a number of recommendations that must be followed up.
The report of the results of the inspection was submitted by Member VI of the BPK RI Fathan Subchi to Minister of Culture Fadli Zon at the Ministry of Culture Office, Jakarta, Friday, August 7.
The WTP opinion means that the BPK assesses that the financial statements have been presented fairly in material respects in accordance with the Government Accounting Standards.
Fadli said that this achievement was an important achievement for the Ministry of Culture which had just been established as a separate ministry.
"After standing up to become the Ministry of Culture independently, we proved that we are able to maintain clean, transparent, and accountable budget management," said Fadli.
According to Fadli, good financial governance is needed so that cultural development programs can run with the support of accountable budgets.
However, the WTP opinion does not mean that there is nothing that needs to be improved.
Fathan Subchi asked the Ministry of Culture to maintain the quality of financial reports by strengthening the Internal Control System or SPI and completing the recommendations of the audit results.
The Ministry of Culture targets the follow-up to the BPK recommendations to be completed no later than 60 days after the LHP is received.
In addition, the Inspector General will be strengthened as the Internal Government Supervisory Apparatus or APIP which serves to detect potential problems in budget management early.
The BPK also made recommendations to strengthen organizational governance, improve the quality of state financial management, and prevent the same problems from recurring.
The Ministry of Culture stated that it would follow up on all of these notes and improve budget management in the following year.
