Bank Jakarta Strengthens the Foundation for Sustainable Transformation through Technology Talent Investment
JAKARTA - In the midst of changes in the increasingly digitized financial services industry landscape, banking competitiveness is no longer determined solely by the size of assets and the sophistication of technology, but also by the company's ability to build talent that can accelerate transformation and create sustainable growth.
Departing from this belief, Bank Jakarta continues to strengthen its organizational capabilities through investment in human resources, one of which is through the Information Technology Officer Development Program (ODP) Batch I 2026 with the theme Building Future Digital Leaders for a Smarter, Safer, and Stronger Bank Jakarta. This program, which was held in collaboration with BINUS University, officially began on Thursday, August 7.
This program is part of Bank Jakarta's long-term strategy in building organizational capabilities that are able to support sustainable corporate transformation. Through investment in digital talent, Bank Jakarta strengthens the technology foundation needed to deliver service innovation, improve operational efficiency, strengthen governance and risk management, and create long-term value for customers and all stakeholders.
Bank Jakarta President Director, Agus H. Widodo, emphasized that the transformation carried out by Bank Jakarta is a comprehensive effort to build an organization that is increasingly modern, adaptive, and ready to face industry changes.
"Bank Jakarta is currently undergoing a comprehensive transformation that includes business, operational, risk management, information technology, and people and culture development as a unity that strengthens each other. We believe that the ability to continue to adapt and innovate is the main foundation for Bank Jakarta to be able to grow sustainably in the midst of increasingly dynamic industry changes. Therefore, through this Officer Development Program Information Technology, we are preparing digital talents who will be an important part of accelerating this transformation," said Agus.

As customer expectations for digital services that are faster, safer, and more reliable increase, and as the industry's challenges become more complex, Bank Jakarta continues to build technology talent that is capable of delivering innovation while strengthening the resilience and reliability of the banking system.
Bank Jakarta's Technology & Operations Director, Daniel Setiawan Subianto, explained that technological developments present new challenges and opportunities for the banking industry, ranging from the use of artificial intelligence (AI), big data and data analytics management, modernization of technology architecture, cloud computing, to increasing cybersecurity threats.
According to him, this condition requires the availability of digital talent who not only master technical competencies, but also understand the characteristics and needs of banking businesses in order to be able to translate technology into solutions that provide added value for companies.
"Through ODP Information Technology, participants are prepared to have technical capabilities in various information technology fields that are relevant to the current and future needs of the banking industry. In addition to mastering technological aspects, they are also equipped with an understanding of banking business and operations so that they can present innovative digital solutions, strengthen system resilience, increase operational efficiency, and support the acceleration of Bank Jakarta's transformation sustainably," explained Daniel.
The presence of BINUS University as a strategic partner further strengthens Bank Jakarta's commitment to building a talent development ecosystem that is in line with industry needs. The collaboration between the education and industry is expected to be able to produce digital talents that are adaptive, innovative, and ready to support the transformation of the financial services sector.
