The Palace Says There Are No Plans for a Reshuffle, Empty Women's Chair as a Priority

JAKARTA - The palace has confirmed that there are no plans to reshuffle the Red and White Cabinet. If the cabinet reshuffle is carried out, filling the vacant deputy minister post is said to be a priority.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said questions about reshuffles continue to arise almost every week or month.

"The problem of reshuffling also needs to be conveyed that until today there is no plan to reshuffle the Red and White Cabinet," said Prasetyo at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Friday, August 7.

However, Prasetyo opened the possibility of changes to fill the current vacant positions.

"Even if there will be changes or reshuffles, perhaps the priority is to fill the positions that are currently empty due to something," he said.

Prasetyo said that the two positions that are currently vacant are the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and the Deputy Minister of SOEs.

"An example is the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, then the Deputy Minister of SOEs," said Prasetyo.

He did not mention when the filling of the two positions was carried out or the name that was being considered.
