AHM Holds the 17th AHSRIC, Safety Riding Instructor Competition with New Assessment Standards

JAKARTA - PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) again held the Astra Honda Safety Riding Instructors Competition (AHSRIC) as an annual event to test and improve the competence of Honda safety riding instructors. Entering the 17th edition, this competition is not only a battle arena, but also a means of producing agents of change who play an active role in building a culture of driving safety in Indonesia.

The peak of the 17th Astra Honda Safety Riding Instructors Competition (AHSRIC) 2026 took place on August 4-7, 2026 at the Astra Honda Motor Safety Riding Park, Deltamas, Cikarang. This facility is the largest Honda motorcycle safety driving training center in Southeast Asia.

Under the theme "Beyond Seventeen, The Change Makers", AHM encourages all participants to be more active in campaigning and educating the importance of road safety to people from various backgrounds, ages, to cross-professions. The finalists who are the best safety riding instructors and advisors from across Indonesia are not only tested for technical ability in safe driving, but also the skills to deliver educational material effectively and the ability to recognize potential dangers on the road.

At AHSRIC 2026, there are nine categories that are competed for, namely Big Bike Class Instructor, Sport Class Instructor, AT Instructor, Dealer Advisor, Sport Class Community Advisor, AT Community Advisor, Honda Main Dealer Instructor Group, Honda Main Dealer Safety Riding Center Group, and Safety Riding Innovation. This year, the coaching assessment system has been updated with parameters that refer to the results of internal research on driving safety behavior trends.

In addition, the innovation category has also been expanded by including traffic safety education for children. Before reaching the national round, the participants first participated in a regional selection involving 120 safety riding instructors, 2,690 safety riding advisors from the Honda dealer network, and 916 Honda community advisors from across Indonesia.

From the process, 209 best participants were selected to advance to the national level, consisting of 19 big bike class instructors, 66 sport class instructors, 14 AT instructors, 28 dealer advisors, 55 sport community advisors, and 28 AT community advisors. In addition to the individual category, the competition also competed in the doubles category for the Honda Main Dealer Instructor Group and the Honda Main Dealer Safety Riding Center Group.

General Manager of Marketing Planning and Analysis AHM Andy Wijaya, said that the implementation of the competition for more than 17 years is proof of the company's commitment to strengthening the foundation of driving safety in Indonesia. According to him, AHSRIC has developed into a sustainable means to maintain the quality of instructors and advisors while producing millions of agents of change in society.

This event is not just a competition, but also a platform to build driving skills and produce individuals who become safety role models throughout the country. As part of efforts to expand driving safety education, AHM together with the Honda dealer network has presented nine Safety Riding Centers in various regions of Indonesia, as well as building the AHM Safety Riding Park as the largest training center in Southeast Asia. These facilities are not only used by competition participants, but are also open to the public who want to increase their understanding of driving safety.

Since its introduction in 2017, the #Cari_Aman campaign has become the main identity of various AHM driving safety programs targeting the younger generation. The program is strengthened through cooperation with schools in various regions, supported by six Safety Riding Labs, and the collaboration of Honda's main dealer network with 38 safety riding schools to instill a culture of safe, comfortable, and enjoyable driving from an early age.
