Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Allocates Rp20 Billion to the State from Coal Auction

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Law Enforcement (Ditjen Gakkum) has succeeded in obtaining additional Non-Tax State Revenues (PNBP) of IDR 20,976,670,000 from the implementation of the auction of State-controlled Goods (BDN) in the form of coal commodities resulting from law enforcement in East Kalimantan Province.

Director General of Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rilke Jeffri Huwae, said that the success of this auction was part of the commitment of the Directorate General of Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in ensuring that every enforcement result provides added value for the country.

"The success of this auction shows that law enforcement in the ESDM sector does not stop at the enforcement process. We ensure that every enforcement result can be managed professionally so that it makes a real contribution to state revenue through the PNBP," said Jeffri in a statement to the media, quoted Friday, August 7.

For information, the auction was carried out by the State Property and Auction Service Office (KPKNL) Samarinda through the auction.go.id website, with PT Wisesa Janitra Sejahtera being declared the winner on July 8, 2026.

Jeffri detailed that the auction object was a package of coal commodities with a total of around 76,742 metric tons (MT) located at 11 stockpile points in Samarinda City and Kutai Kartanegara Regency.

"As stipulated, the auction winner is given a maximum of 60 calendar days or until September 10, 2026 to carry out the demolition, loading, and transportation of coal from all storage locations," continued Jeffri.

Jeffri emphasized that the Directorate General of Gakkum ESDM would continue to monitor all stages of the contract until the coal extraction process was completed.

"The auction process is not the end of the series of law enforcement. We will continue to monitor and provide assistance so that the process of extracting coal from all stockpile locations runs orderly, safe, transparent, and in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.

In the implementation of coal evacuation, the Directorate General of Gakkum ESDM will also continue to coordinate with the Office of the City and Port Authority (KSOP) and law enforcement officers in the region to ensure that all processes run smoothly and in accordance with regulations.

The implementation of the auction of State-Owned Goods (BDN) was carried out based on the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 162.K/HK.02/MEM.H/2026.
