Pramono asks the Health Office to give a warning to the Jakarta Nakes who cursed the BPJS patient
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung asked the DKI Jakarta Health Service to give a warning to health workers who have been proven to mock BPJS Health users.
Pramono's statement was made in response to the viral alleged derogatory comments from a number of accounts identified as health workers against a BPJS patient.
Pramono admitted that he had monitored the controversy and asked the Health Service to immediately study the case.
"I do see it and I will ask the Health Office to give a warning to anyone who takes action against anyone who uses BPJS Kesehatan. Because BPJS Kesehatan is protected by law," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, August 6.
This case came to light after a patient admitted that he had to wait for a treatment room for up to eight hours at the hospital. The complaint then received a negative response from a number of accounts allegedly belonging to health workers. A few days after the complaint went viral, the patient named Yurizal was reported to have died on July 31, 2026.
Pramono emphasized that health services are one of the sectors of concern for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. He explained that the number of health facilities and health workers in Jakarta is very large, so that supervision of service ethics must be strengthened.
"As is known, Jakarta has 31 hospitals, 44 Puskesmas, 292 Puskesmas assistants. Of course, from so many, there are tens of thousands of health workers working," said Pramono.
"So for that I will immediately ask the Head of the Health Office and also Ms. Premi to study this and take action and remind anyone who does this," he continued.
It is known that the upload of a patient user of BPJS Kesehatan who complained about the long wait for an inpatient room became a public spotlight after the patient was reported to have died. The controversy spread further after a number of screenshots of comments allegedly written by health workers and doctors circulated, which were considered not to show empathy to patients.
In the viral initial upload, the owner of the @yurizaltrich account admitted that he had been waiting for eight hours, but had not yet received a hospital bed.
"8 hours I haven't got a room. I spilled the hospital's BPJS," wrote the account.
The upload then provoked thousands of comments. One of the highlights came from the @bennychrstn account, which is allegedly a medical worker. "If it's full, where do you want to move? Do you want it on the floor?" wrote the account.
The comment was then followed by an explanation regarding the condition of the inpatient room. "It has nothing to do with BPJS or not. BPJS makes a lot, automatically the ones who are treated are also many, not just u alone," he continued.
However, the comment that garnered the most public criticism was the sentence that offended the morgue. "If you want to move quickly, noh the morgue is always empty."
"Ngeselin dah, nakes/RS bahkan pemerintah melalui BPJS berusaha ngebantuin, masyarakatnya malah gini," tulis akun tersebut.
The comment triggered a harsh reaction from social media users who considered jokes about the morgue inappropriate to be conveyed to someone who was sick and waiting for medical treatment.
Another screenshot that circulated showed the account @nouzzha_kim, which is said to be a doctor, giving a harsh comment to the patient.
"8 hours is very very reasonable, especially if it is a national referral hospital. Maybe a class like Bandung RSHS or RSCM will participate, right? Can I say something? You are a lot of gossip," wrote the account.
The comment also drew criticism for being considered not to reflect the ethics of communication of a health worker to a patient.
In addition, the @nandafadyla account also became the focus of attention after posting a short comment that read, "Bacot is a patient."
Meanwhile, the @erudarahaadini account wrote another comment that was also widely criticized.
"PPnya kayak orang have tetapi aslinya haven't kah? haven't some brain cells," tulis akun tersebut.
A number of screenshots that circulated then associated some of these accounts with the identity of medical personnel. Information also circulated regarding the alleged place of work, educational history, to professional organizations related to these accounts. However, this information has not been independently verified.
The patient who uploaded the complaint was known as Yurizal Tri Chaerawan. The sad news about Yurizal's death was conveyed by his cousin, Hilda Prianti Perdana, who said Yurizal died on July 31, 2026 after previously allegedly being delayed in getting a treatment room.
