9 Members of THE BOYZ Continue Activities with New Label

JAKARTA - K-pop group THE BOYZ will continue their activities with a new agency but will be separated individually. This was decided after they ended their contract with ONE HUNDRED agency for several things, one of which was their salary which had not been paid.

On Thursday, August 6, nine members of THE BOYZ: Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric released a joint statement.

"We reached a mutual agreement to continue the group's activities as nine members and we have entered the finalization of the group's contract to do so. We are preparing our activities under the new label system," said THE BOYZ on Thursday, August 6 on social media.

Each member will join other agencies for individual activities, but they plan to remain active as a group through the same label.

"We feel that we nine must continue together. More than that, we want to convey to fans who are waiting and worried about the activities of the THE BOYZ group," he said.

"We will do our best while giving our all to our fans as THE BOYZ. We thank our fans, THE B, for your love and support," they continued.

Earlier this year, Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric terminated their contracts with the agency due to breach of trust. New was the only member who did not sue the agency.

Previously, they were the only artists under the label ONE HUNDRED which was founded by Mc Mong and Cha Ga Won in 2023.

In April, the court granted a request to legally terminate THE BOYZ's contract. Therefore, some THE BOYZ members began to work individually.
