Pertamina Hulu Indonesia Records Production of 59,300 Barrels of Oil per Day in Semester I-2026
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) through its subsidiaries and affiliates managed to record oil production of 59,300 barrels per day (BOPD) and gas production of 621 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) or 116.1 percent and 105.4 percent of the 2026 RKAP target.
PHI President Director Muharram Jaya Pangurinseng said PHI also recorded good safety performance, namely 73.1 million safe working hours, zero Number of Accidents (NoA), and 0.03 Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR).
"The efforts we are making prioritize techno-economic analysis based on occupational safety or HSSE and risk management," said Muharram, quoted on Thursday, August 6.
He explained that techno-economic analysis is an evaluation method to assess the feasibility, cost, and benefits of a technology or industrial process by combining technical and financial aspects.
Muharram also invited all workers to continue to innovate in optimizing the recovery rate from the oil and gas fields in the 3 Kalimantan Region which are mature.
Throughout Semester I 2026, PHI managed to record a number of important milestones from major projects in the Company's environment.
Among them, the success of PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) in completing the installation of the Manpatu Project topside by the end of May 2026 and the successful onstream of the fourth platform of the Sisi Nubi AOI Project in June 2026.
In addition, the success of the PEP Sangasanga Field in drilling the NKL-1183 development well, as well as the implementation of the Through Tubing Electric Submersible Pump (TTESP) innovation by PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) in early February 2026 which succeeded in increasing well production by 150 percent.
Meanwhile, PT Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) also recorded positive results through two wells in the Sejadi Field.
