PWI and AFPI hold Pindar Workshop, Help Journalist and Community Literacy

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Center in collaboration with the Indonesian Collective Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) held a pindar or online loan workshop with the theme; "Pindar for Financial Inclusion, Journalism for Public Protection" for journalists which took place at the Aryaduta Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, August 6.

"This workshop is important because the latest technological advances have changed many lives, including in technology-based financial services, namely pindar," said Akhmad Munir in his remarks.

PWI Pusat Chairman Akhmad Munir emphasized the importance of literacy for journalists about pindar so that they can relay it back to the public through their respective media.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) Entjik S. Djafar, this workshop is important so that there is a common language and understanding between the pindar industry players and journalists so that they can provide the same information to the public. "This is important so that the language between the pindar company is the same as the media," he said.

Referring to the rapid development of illegal loans, Entjik continued, because they are aggressive and tend to have no rules. "Illegal loans are growing because they are aggressive and tend to have no rules," he said.

He hopes that this workshop will not only be held at the central level but also can reach the regions so that the understanding of pulik can be wider.
